About Me
George joined the °µÍø½ûÇøÆÆ½â°æ adjunct faculty in 2010. Since then, he has been an accompanist, musical director and Musical Theatre History instructor. George attended the Hartt School of Music (West Hartford, CT) and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC). When not teaching, he is a piano bar performer and spends his summers at The Front Porch Restaurant and Piano Bar in Ogunquit, Maine. As a composer/lyricist, he has received two Joseph Jefferson awards for his musicals QUEEN LUCIA (2005) and NORTHANGER ABBEY (2017) and his musicals MURDER, REWROTE (2023) and THE HOUSE WITHOUT A CHRISTMAS TREE (2024) were nominated for Best New Works in their respective years. His latest musical LOKI: THE END OF THE WORLD TOUR premiered at CCPA in 2023 under the title LOKI AT THE END OF THE WORLD and will receive it's Chicago premiere in April, 2026 at Lifeline Theatre. He has written over over a dozen Theatre for Young Audiences musicals which have been produced nationwide and internationally. His most popular titles include CLICK, CLACK MOO: COWS THAT TYPE, DUCK FOR PRESIDENT, MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS, LYLE LYLE CROCODILE, and ARNIE THE DOUGHNUT.
